I don't know why this does it, but it fixes it. Prob a conflict between vanilla and modded terraria in the settings and deleting the file removes it. It was only cosmolight, and both tears. If using Fargo's mutant mod it also happened with any event summoning items from that mod. Not bosses though. If you are having problems using boss items it's likely another issue, or possibly a connection issue.
