I was 1cm and 50% effaced starting at 35 weeks. At 37 weeks I was 3cm and still 50% effaced. No labor yet. Even though the process is starting, it could be weeks away still. I got all excited last week thinking that I was so close it must be happening soon, but no contractions or anything, so I'm just waiting it out.Dilation has progressed from last week. I chose to do cervical checks I know it doesn’t necessary indicate when birth is coming but I like to know. In my last pregnancy, I did walk around fully effaced and 4 cm dilated for almost a month. Baby was born at 37 weeks. I guess my only advice is to take it easy if you can. Bedrest really keeps with my contractions. Some doctors don't believe in bedrest, but a few more weeks of baking is worth it to me. < >
