Arma heli controls aren't too bad. DayZ SA definitely made cars harder than Arma by making them manual, but I'd be surprised if they do anything too stupid with helis (such as Arma 3's advanced flight model). There is a learning curve, and it will never be Battlefield easy.

Even after swapping keyboards as well as keybinds, I cannot get a helicopter to take off. However, once i am able to finesse the copter off of the ground about 3 meters or so, it will raise with no issues whatsoever. Once i am off the ground, the keybind works perfectly.
