I have a stock coleman bt200x. The only mod I did was remove the throttle stop screw which got me up to 25mph. I would really like to get to at least 30 since I ride mostly in the street where the speed limit is 25 or 30. I heard removing the governor will get you up to 35mph but can easily float the valves.I have a coleman ct200u with the stock 6.5hp clone in it. With a torque converter and stock Coleman gearing the engine doesn't produce the RPM that could pop a connecting rod or blow up the flywheel into your right leg.
