Then I went to the FreedomSmith website and what I read there kind of worried me about doing the upgrade myself and they suggest having a gunsmith do it and that some alterations may be required on the Fat Daddy trigger. With the stock trigger (and Galloway springs), it measured 4# even. I changed the Galloway plunger spring to a Cajun Gun Works one and it dropped to 3# 7oz. I never did measure either Canik with a bone stock trigger setup.

Nov 18, 2022 · It takes up a lot of the pretravel thats it. Shoot it with the stock trigger see how you like it. You don't need the Freedomsmith trigger unless a little more pretravel bothers you.. This trigger has a more narrow face than the Fat Daddy model. Black color with a gold colored heavy duty safety lever. Fits all of the Canik Rival, "TP9 Elite", Rival or all Mete models only (will NOT fit any of the other " TP9" models of SF, SFL, SFX, SA or double action models). Reduces pre travel and over travel. The OG trigger bar can be dropped into the -S, along with its FreedomSmith trigger. All the trigger job springs (plunger, trigger, striker) are compatible between OG and -S. The -S accepts the W74 guide rod and Wolff Commander recoil spring from the OG. The optic plates are compatible between OG and -S.

I have an XDM 10mm that wouldn’t fire just yesterday. Not sure of course if our problems are the same. My pistol cocked indicator was normal and a trigger pull released the firing pin but firing pin wouldn’t make contact with the primer. The tab wasn’t getting activated to allow the firing pin to make contact with primer.Simplified, they can be divided into "TP9 Elite" and non "TP9 Elite" models. For example, there is a "TP9 SF" and there is also a "TP9 Elite SF". So if the model name contains the word "Elite" then you need a trigger for an "Elite" model.
