SO chaos blade gets stronger up to 10 humanity. Also it upgrades with twinkling titanite so you can get it to 4 or 5 pretty quick. 10 humanity minimum is needed for full damage as said above. However, like all boss weapons, it upgrades with Demon titanite, you get from killing Titanite demons, not twinkling titanite.
