Synthoceps all the time. More buffs (farther melee lunge, 3x melee damage, and +50% super damage), and easier to proc. Just need to leave 3 enemies alive running around. Also fashion points (especially with the ornaments). Wormgod gives higher melee damage, but that's all. You have to chain the build up with a much shorter timer to maintain.
