After the wipe there is a proper distribution of dino's so in comparison to Ptero's for days you get a mix of multiple carnivores. Carnivores will attack other dino's and possibly eventually die, then be replaced with a herbivore spawn (ie a ptero) so overtime the area gets safer and safer.
