Swapping the 196 for a 212 Predator is a complete waste of money. They're both rated at 6.5hp and the 196 has a slightly higher torque rating. If you really want to run a 212, get either a Ducar 212 or Tillotson 212. Both are considerably better engines than the Predator and put out more power. I have a BT200X and I would highly recommend getting the the torque converter and get this adapter plate from OMB warehouse. It lifts and moves the engine forward and is super solid. I believe I used a 5 foot 420 chain with it and everything bolted up perfect with the stock rear sprocket. That alone will bump speed into the mid 30mph.
