There are 3 types of dragons that each spawn exclusively in a single biome. Stage 3 dragons spawn in nests on the surface and drop ~10-12 scales when killed. They have around 9000 hearts (18000 health). These nests have piles of allthemodium nuggets and loot chests containing Allthemodium and Vibranium nuggets and armor.
You have to build a teleport Pad. It needs 4 allthemodium Nuggets and a enderpearl. If u have the Pad, go to the nether, place it down, and shift right click it. Your hands needs to be empty when u shift right click it, this includes your offhand. Tested on 0.2.9 and pickaxes from following mods can mine allthemodium: Create Stuff & Additions (tested copper pickaxe) Railcraft Reborn (tested steel pickaxe) The Aether (tested skyroot pickaxe) The Undergarden (tested cloggrum pickaxe) Natures Aura (tested botanists pickaxe) Blue Skies (tested maple wood pickaxe)
Seriously, look for your first ore in a Deep Ocean biome. Find at least one and process it to create a Charm that makes it easier to find. After that, it is semi-smooth sailing on finding more. Also, look into ore processing mechanics so to get the most out of it. Mekanism isn't too costly to set up to get 3x ore processing.
