Combat knife has 30% base crit, tactical axe is 15%. If using the tactical axei would suggest the Shred blessing, since at higher blessing tiers it could technically give you higher crit chance than knife. Either one will proc all the crit/bleed stuff you need, but knife will be more consistent especially with Lacerate.

Is it good in general on a mk IV tactical axe for a zealot? it is, in my observation at least, the worst blessing in the game by an extremely wide margin, regardless of what it lands on but extremely so on a tac axe. most other low-power blessings are just useless, limb splitter makes your weapon much much worse.

The tactical axe has a very fast spammable special action, does little damage but enough to just bash down some trash mobs. The Combat Axe has un upswing special Action that does little damage on both armoured and unarmoured targets, repeated hits doesnt seem to do anything either and its a slow attack that cant be spammed.Dec 10, 2022 · Headtaker seems like its 1-4% on axes per stack for 5 stacks, but on heavy sword it goes up to 12.5% per stack. Decimator has 5 stacks on the combat axes, but 10 stacks on tactical axe. So that being said, on tactical axe decimator is a strictly better version of headtaker, because its just headtaker with more stacks. So check the finesse on the weapon you wanna use.It has a high stagger value while being extremely fast. You can stun any human-sized enemy with it, including Maulers and even Ragers, knocking them out of their attack chain, or you can stop gunners/trappers/bombers from repositioning. Both would be used in a Faith Restored / Bloodletting crit-based Feat build, but can't decide which would be most effective. A Tactical Axe offers most of the mobility and utility while also offsetting most of the downsides, so there's really little to no reason you shouldn't use that instead for a crit build. ... Combat axes wont really cleave unless you push attack or you got the Antax MK V. It is the only combat axe with a cleave stat and actually starts cleaving 2-3 targets with normal attacks at 50% even without the blessing. With brutal momentum and proper stats it can probably be one of the best melee weapons in the game.
