I would do the AAFP questions next time prior to the exam, look at the anki cards from dorian deck, and redo your peds and ob questions as well. Divine intervention podcasts are also very clutch. I would do these, and aim to at least get average or higher on them, if you get around 18-21 youre in the ballpark. They literally reuse questions from the practice exams on the actual shelf exam. They are selling you a good grade if you’re willing to pay. I was scoring like 50th percentile on the shelf exams until half way through the year. I did UWorld Surgery and AMBOSS surgery and scored in honors range (>75% national average). After having done UWorld IM questions for IM, I can say those would be helpful for the surgery shelf as well. I had a shockingly consistent ~56% on every UWorld section for every shelf exam. Got the above the honors cut off for most of them and usually didn't finish UW. UW for shelf exams imo is literally worth 100x more as a learning tool than anything else.
