Competitive players don't like anything except the broken stuff whilst simultaneously complaining about broken stuff. Competitive 40k (or fantasy or AoS) is a walking contradiction and their opinion should be taken as such.

Mordian Glory on YouTube is doing well running infantry heavy lists. As long as you understand the weaknesses and strengths of Guard in 9th you can craft some decent lists. Things like Sentinels, Bullgryns, Infantry Squads and Valkyrie are some of the better units right now. People swear by Valks being near useless.In the current game, yes, CP is more useful on early turns. The shift in starting CP really neuters the armies that rely on those first couple turns to deliver most of their damage. Explosive turn 1s and 2s are going to be toned way way down, and having stratagem delivery units on later turns will be more important.Firstly that d10s slow the game down so much.
