They all do it, but the LB7/LLY cranks have a little more weight to them so they are preferred if you're building the motor. I just got done with an engine for a guy that he broke the crank on- would start and idle fine, had throttle until about 2200rpm and then would start cutting out and running erratic.

When it goes into reduced engine, the ECM turns off the injector on the cylinder that is knocking, and it goes away.
