The 5055E replaced my VERY destructable John Deere 4500, which I was able to burn up the clutch in, and sheer a rear axle. The 5055E was a replacement for the 4500. A mere 15HP extra, and a ton of extra weight, the 5055E is a substantial upgrade from the 4500.

Last year I used it to do several hours of bush hogging, the brakes would stop functioning, but steering etc was fine. I had to pump the brakes a few times to get them working again. Normally, the EGT light will only come on when the system is doing a self-regen. It will stay on until the cycle is over and then it will shut the light off. This seems to be the process for all of the EGT lights. When it comes to John Deer tractors, the regen will come on for about 30 to 45 minutes but it does not interfere with operations.
