According to the modlist Nature's Compass is in the pack which should make locating the biome pretty easy. In our server without biomes o plenty generation we also can't find a single allthemodium (already knowing the show below deserts). I've also looked for a desert in a single player creative world with biomes o' plenty generation, drunk an Allthemodium potion from "Potions Master" and changed to Spectator mode. They drop the nuggets you need to craft an ingot. Honestly, I would get enough ingots to make the teleportation pad, then go to the mining dimension. You can find allthemodium everywhere there, not just the ocean biome.

It took me like 6 different deep darks to find a piece of ATM. Just keep at it. Use a jet pack, a 3x3 hammer and the biome locator compass thing and just fly to one and dig straight down until you heat the deep dark, look around until you've seen everything and then onwards to the next.
