It only requires a swap of trigger mechanism housing. you can put a dagger upper on any gen3 or gen4 19 compatible lower… on gen4 you will just need a dust cover.The 23 is a compact pistol. Not a full size. The full size 40 is the 22. And the slide will fit. But will need a 9mm ejector on the g23 frame for the best results. Put the slide stop into its lower position, hold the slide lock tabs down, and then use a big rubber mallet to knock the slide forward and off. I've got an original Glock 43x with the sliver slide, and nothing pic wise on the lower. Last week I was able to finally score a Micro Dagger C-1 in FDE. Soon as I got home with the new Micro, I tried swapping the completed slide onto my old 43x. And it fits Beautifully! Haven't shot this setup yet, hoping to this weekend

The full size Dagger's right now are just the S versions, meaning a shorter, 19 sized frame. So a G19L slide would be what you want for that. You need either a G19L barrel for a Gen 3, or a Gen 5 G17 barrel. To elaborate.
