The Barrel on the .454 and .480 Super Red Hawks are a different alloy of steel then the .44 Magnum Super Red Hawks. If I remember correctly the cylinder on the .454 and .480 Super Red Hawks are 465 Carpenter steel. The .44 Magnum Super Red Hawk is 410 carpenter steel.
