the veins aren't so much hard as they are time consuming. if you are just after element. I would suggest getting 2 element dust gachas. As /ashrid5150 said, you can only find them in predetermined spots. Look up the OSD spawn map, and it will show all the locations for both. Some locations are only OSD, Element Node, or both. The spots also have the levels predetermined. Sadly, you don't get a far visual signal if one is waiting to be activated.
