Doesn't quite work as well with flat screens though. In my area it’s because the living rooms are so small, the only wall is above the fireplace which is too tall. Or people want to place the sofa to face the fireplace and the only way to also hang a TV is above it. I’ve seen so many houses like that. Women’s fault.

I mentioned r/tvtoohigh on this r/diy post and was accused of brigading by one of the mods. When I politely asked how just mentioning this sub could be considered brigading, they gave me a 5 day ban.
