KELLY feels like an autobiography, not an explanation of what Skunk Works is, although it does explain a lot of that, too. I read a much more in-depth book many years ago that would be the perfect follow-on from this one. Some of the other titles suggested by other reviews would be ideal. Nonetheless, for the price, it was well worth the money.The book charts Rich's rise through Lockheed's Skunk Works, from the ground floor to the penthouse suite. The chapters cover many different projects that Rich was involved in throughout his career, some headed by Kelly Johnson (Rich's mentor and a big cheese in aviation) and some headed by Rich himself as Johnson's successor.
